The Nigerian National Committee for the United World Colleges (UWC) is accepting applications from suitably qualified Nigerian candidates for a limited number of need-based scholarship awards and fee-paying places in select UWCs for September 2022 admission.
Students attend the colleges to prepare for the two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Certificate.
Where appropriate, parents/guardians may be expected to pay for their ward’s flight tickets, extra cash, health insurance, clothes, and other expenses. Some scholarship awards may only cover a portion of the cost of tuition and accommodation.
The UWC movement is a non-profit organization with its international headquarters in London. In 1982, the Nigerian National Committee was established. The Committee is now chaired by Hakeem Belo-Osagie (a UWC alumnus), and the National Patron is Akintola Williams (CBE, OFR).
Regardless of socioeconomic, religious, national, ethnic, or cultural origin, the UWC movement wants excellent students who desire to become change-makers for a better society.
If you are a passionate learner, excited at the prospect of studying and living with young people from around the world, a UWC education is for you.
